This unique event is a perfect combination of culture, languages, arts, live Colombian folkloric dances, live music and Colombian food & drinks. Spanglish Launching & My 30th Bday is a private event which essentially welcomes you to be part of the Spanglish community and celebrate my 30th Bday party.

Since May 2021, I became the full time director of Spanglish . Since then, I have been building the basis of Spanglish including raising essential funds, creating a business plan, designing new products, teaming up with businesses and venues, advertising and recreating the Spanglish brand. Now, it is time to officially launch Spanglish as a company, thus, I am inviting you to be part of this special unique date, which will show you the sparkles of Spanglish history, present and exciting future.

Additionally, I welcome you to celebrate my 30th Bday and share some of my taste in film, music, dancing, food and drinks. As many of you know, I love films so there will be a screening in the afternoon which has a discussion session (free for those who join this event) on Monday evening. Then, we welcome the best folkloric rhythms from Colombia with Talentos Group which is an dance school based in London which offers Latin American performing arts and cultural activities.

An author recalls life with his father, a university professor who fought against oppression and social inequality, and the circumstances of his murder by Colombian paramilitaries (Google).

Talentos is a group of dancers, actors, musicians and artists, united by a shared passion for promoting Latin American culture and traditions. Although, Talentos focused on Colombian folklore and traditional dance, they will bring dances from my region Cundinamarca and their special show for us to dance and enjoy. In the interval, I will be giving a small talk about Spanglish.

Once Talentos is finished, we will be welcoming Los Soneros Natalia and Victor, who bring the best cumbia, salsa, merengue and tropical music for us to dance and enjoy the rest of the night.

Los Soneros are a group of highly talented Latin American musicians dedicated to playing the best Latin music around. It was founded over 30 years ago (coincidentally when I was born) by Victor Garcia, and with the time they have created their own exciting and distinctive sound and style, with strong vocal harmonies and the innovative use of acoustic guitar in the traditional salsa line-up. The band's mix of different Latin rhythms as Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue and tropical. Their charismatic stage presence has attracted an enthusiastic following on the London club scene and guarantees to get you on the dance floor!
